Congratulations to students Nicole Cao, Maxwell Steppuhn, Mia Cajic, Alex Doyi, and Luca De Vasconcelos Ricci who shared their second year studio projects with the City of Toronto Island Master Plan Team this week. Their designs for a new Plaza of the Islands from this summer's ARCH 293 Studio SITE: Environmental Arts, Dynamic Landscapes were presented with studio co-ordinator Christie Pearson. The team, which included Planners, Project Managers, and Landscape Architects, were enthusiastic, calling it “very relevant, beautiful and fresh work”impressed by “the level of innovation that was embedded into each of their design presentations”We hope that the high level of inquiry and design at the school will continue to raise the bar for Canadian design.
