The Lantern House is situated on a site between Grand House and The Bridges in Cambridge and homes three transient youth. Through exploring light and shadow progressions influenced by the openings in the mycelium wall panels, this house is designed to encourage interaction and community building between both the residents and youth from the three other houses on the site. The openings in the mycelium wall panels and the wooden shell are shaped by woven topographic lines and create an illusion of privacy.
