galt. is a student-run, peer-reviewed publication from the University of Waterloo’s School of Architecture—our team is based in the historic community that is also our namesake. We are dedicated to publishing student work in the context of a larger architectural discourse that brings together the voices of designers, activists, and academics. Published annually, by Riverside Architectural Press in Toronto, each issue addresses a theme that is informed by a contemporary Canadian perspective on the state of architecture, urbanism, and design.
In the midst of global frictions, the fourth issue asks: how did we get here, and what are we doing about it?
Send us your proposals: up to 500 words addressing either (or both) of these themes here until January 29th, 2021. We’re accepting all levels of professional or student work, projects, photography, artwork, graphics, craft, writings (including poetry, reflections, or critiques), and other media
