Brenda Reid

Adjunct Professor

Brenda Reid is a designer, artist, and researcher based in Kitchener, ON. Their work is interested in public outreach and education around design and architecture.

Brenda has worked in design firms in Toronto, Amsterdam and Kitchener. They received both a Bachelor of Architectural Studies and a Master of Architecture from the University of Waterloo. Their thesis work, Care as Architectural Practice, explores care theory and power within the profession. This research led to the creation of From Behind the Mask, a 25' long community quilt in Waterloo Region, creating collaborative architectural space by sharing pandemic experiences.
