Sheida Shahi

Adjunct Professor

Sheida is an Architect and co-founder of Adaptis and holds a PhD in Circular Engineering from the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Waterloo. Her research focuses on design option optimization for improving building adaptation projects and she has taught courses on Circular Economy in the Built Environment at the University of Waterloo and Technical University of Berlin. Sheida is a Certified Passive House Designer and has over seven years of professional experience in architecture, engineering and development firms. She has received the Royal Architecture Institute of Canada Sustainable Design and Research Award and the Energy Council of Canada Fellowship for Sustainable Energy Innovation for her work.
