This Ainslie St. shelter seeks to respond to the needs of youth in high risk situations. Beginning to examine trauma-informed design, this transitional home aims to provide opportunities for youth to recover. The driver of the project was to allow residents to have privacy and experience feelings of ownership and dignity, while simultaneously creating spaces of friction, transparency, and safety.
